The original. Photographed standing in the Plane of Fear on the Solusek Ro server on the 19th of November, 2000 — back when getting in there at all meant a full raid, a long corpse run and a great deal of nerve. He came, he saw, he conquered. The daggers have been hung up a long while now, but this server carries his name.

Get in.

About five minutes
1

Get a RoF2 client

This server runs Rain of Fear 2. Any standard RoF2 client pack from the EverQuest Emulator community works. No retail account or subscription needed.

2

Point it here

Open eqhost.txt in your EverQuest folder and make it read exactly this:

[LoginServer]
Host=deletar.duckdns.org:5999

Or leave it pointed at login.eqemulator.net:5999 and pick Deletar's Server off the public server list.

3

Launch with patchme

Run eqgame.exe patchme. Do not run LaunchPad.exe — it tries to reach the retail patch servers and fails.

4

Type a username to sign up

Connecting directly? Just type the username and password you want at the login screen — the account is created on first use. There is no signup form. Coming through the public server list instead? Use your EQEmulator forum account.

Client refuses to start? Nearly always antivirus quarantining eqgame.exe, an old unsigned binary. Add a folder exclusion and retry.

House rules.

What differs from stock EverQuest

Experience ×5

On top of normal rates, applying to AA experience too. Levelling respects your evening.

Item stats ×5

Every positive stat multiplied. Penalties untouched, so cursed gear still bites.

Spells twice as fast

Half mana and half cast time on player spells. Enemy casters untouched.

Mana regen ×3

Less sitting, more adventuring. The regeneration cap scales with it.

Bots & mercenaries

Both enabled. Build a full group yourself with #bot commands. Solo play works.
